Outdoor Access

Our cabin in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, opens the door to a realm of outdoor adventures. Close by, the White River stands as a top-tier fly fishing spot, drawing anglers for its rich trout population—rainbow, brown, cutthroat, and brook trout. The stretch between Eureka Springs and Gateway, regularly stocked with rainbow and brown trout, invites year-round fly fishing.

Key to the White River’s allure is its sizeable trout, especially the impressive brown trout. Anglers are lured by the challenge of fly fishing for these trophy-sized catches. Various fishing environments cater to different preferences—from boat fishing to shoreline casting or wading into the river.

Tranquility seekers can find Black Bass Lake just outside Eureka Springs—a serene fishing spot for smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, spotted bass, and bluegill. Fishing options include the bank or non-motorized boat, complete with a small boat launch.

Embarking on a fishing adventure at Beaver Lake, approximately 11 miles away, promises an expansive experience. Covering 28,370 acres with over 480 miles of picturesque shoreline and limestone bluffs, Beaver Lake is a dream for fishermen. It features trophy-sized striped bass, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, bream, and channel catfish. Fishing can be enjoyed from the shoreline or by boat, with ample areas for launching canoes or kayaks.

Discover the beauty of Lake Leatherwood, situated 5.2 miles away—a 100-acre spring-fed lake surrounded by scenic shoreline. The lake boasts largemouth bass, channel catfish, crappie, and bluegill. Enjoy fishing by boat or from the bank, with a paved boat ramp, a canoe and kayak launch (handicap accessible), and a no-wake rule for boaters. The on-site bait shop provides fishing supplies.

Venture into Missouri for a trout fishing experience at Roaring River State Park, approximately 19.3 miles away. Regularly stocked with rainbow trout, the park is divided into three fishing zones with specific restrictions. Besides exceptional fishing, the park offers scenic beauty nestled in a valley surrounded by the Ozark hills.

Table Rock Lake, located 49.1 miles away in southwest Missouri, is a premier bass fishing location. Abundant in smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, spotted bass, catfish, crappie, and bluegill, it ensures success for anglers fishing from a boat or the extensive shoreline.

Beyond fishing, Eureka Springs stands out as a mountain biking haven in the Ozarks. The Lake Leatherwood Gravity Trail Project, offering seven downhill trails for advanced bikers, provides an exhilarating experience against the backdrop of the Ozark Mountains. Access the trails from Lake Leatherwood, with shuttle services available on select days.
