Outdoor Access

Our Eureka Springs cabin, nestled in Arkansas, serves as a gateway to diverse outdoor adventures. The nearby White River, renowned for fly fishing, beckons anglers with its rich trout population—rainbow, brown, cutthroat, and brook trout. The stretch between Eureka Springs and Gateway, consistently stocked with rainbow and brown trout, provides a year-round fly fishing haven.

The substantial size of the White River’s trout, especially the impressive brown trout, adds allure, offering anglers the thrill of fly fishing for trophy-sized catches. Diverse fishing environments cater to various preferences, allowing anglers to fish from a boat, cast from the shoreline, or wade into the river.

For tranquility seekers, Black Bass Lake, just outside Eureka Springs, offers a serene fishing spot for smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, spotted bass, and bluegill. Options include fishing from the bank or a non-motorized boat, with a small boat launch available.

Beaver Lake, approximately 11 miles away, unfolds as an expansive fishing adventure with its 28,370 acres, over 480 miles of shoreline, and trophy-sized catches like striped bass, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, bream, and channel catfish. Fishing opportunities abound along the shoreline or by boat, with convenient areas for launching canoes or kayaks.

Lake Leatherwood, just 5.2 miles away, is a 100-acre spring-fed lake surrounded by scenic beauty. Largemouth bass, channel catfish, crappie, and bluegill await anglers, with fishing accessible by boat or from the bank. The lake features a paved boat ramp, a handicapped-accessible canoe and kayak launch, and a no-wake rule for boaters.

Venturing into Missouri, Roaring River State Park, around 19.3 miles away, promises trout fishing in a picturesque setting. Regular stockings of rainbow trout and specific fishing zones enhance the experience. Further afield, Table Rock Lake, 49.1 miles away, stands as a premier bass fishing location, offering success for anglers fishing from a boat or the extensive shoreline.

Eureka Springs isn’t just a fishing haven; it’s also a mountain biking paradise. The Lake Leatherwood Gravity Trail Project features seven downhill trails, providing an exhilarating experience against the backdrop of the Ozark Mountains. Access the trails from Lake Leatherwood, with shuttle services available on select days.
