The Toccoa river is one of the most famed in Georgia–and Cedar Knoll provides private access to it. From being featured in the 1996 Olympics for its rapids, to its famous brown trout fishery, the Toccoa is the stuff of legend. As a “Tailwater” this north-flowing river provides ample opportunities for anglers, paddlers, and nature-enthusiasts. There are also numerous hiking trails and other natural features surrounding the Cedar Knoll, which is fully enclosed by National Forest outside of the neighborhood. There are trails that can be reached just outside the house, and of course there are numerous trails, creeks, and parks in the immediate vicinity.
