Kayaking and Canoeing:   Kayaking and canoeing in Milbridge, Maine, is an experience you really do not want miss.Paddling down the Narraguagus River, you will be met with just the right amount of gentle rapids to keep things interesting. As you move along the wooded banks, you might spot a deer or two drinking from the river, accompanied by the sounds of birds chirping all around. Then there’s the coastal kayaking, which is a whole different adventure. You paddle along the amazing coastline, weaving through tiny islands and getting up close wildlife. Sometimes, if you’re lucky, you’ll see porpoises playing in the distance. It’s incredibly peaceful and gives you this amazing sense of connection with nature. You just can’t beat that feeling of freedom out on the water.

Hiking: Hiking around Milbridge is something special. Hiking through Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge ,which is a place where the coastal wetlands and forests create a unique atmosphere, is a must . It’s perfect for birdwatchers too due to there being many unique species. Then there’s McClellan Park, which is a bit of a hidden gem. The hike isn’t long, but the ocean views are stunning, especially at sunrise or sunset. The trails are easy and well-marked, making it great for a leisurely afternoon. After exploring, there’s nothing better than sitting down with a picnic and soaking in the peaceful surroundings. It really feels like a little slice of heaven here in Maine.

Fishing: Fishing in Milbridge, Maine is such a rewarding experience.  Being out on the Gulf of Maine, casting your line and waiting for a bite, is such awesome feeling. It’s not just about what you catch; it’s about the thrill of the catch and the peacefulness of being out on the water. Freshwater fishing on the Narraguagus River or nearby lakes is just as enjoyable, with the calm early mornings and the serene atmosphere. The best part is the whole experience – being surrounded by nature, feeling the fresh air, and savoring the quiet moments.
