We desire for all of our Users to feel welcome and mandate that all of our Users abide by this Nondiscrimination Policy.This Non-Discrimination Policy is incorporated by reference in our Terms and Conditions and violation of this Policy will be deemed a violation of OBO's Terms. Capitalized words herein which are not defined shall have the same meaning as in OBO's Terms.
Protected Persons:
OBO has a zero tolerance policy for discrimination against a Renter (including their travel companions or minors) based on their Race, Color, Ethnicity, National Origin, Religion, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, or Marital Status (hereinafter “Protected Person Status”).
  • OBO Owners may not:
    • Decline a booking based on a Renter's Protected Person Status.
    • Impose any different terms or conditions based on a Renter's Protected Person Status.
    • Post any listing or make any statement that discourages or indicates a preference for or against any guest on account of their Protected Person Status
Additional Considerations for Gender Identity
OBO does not assign a gender identity to our Users. OBO considers the gender of individuals to be what they identify and/or designate, and we expect our Users to do the same. OBO is an all inclusive platform that welcomes all users.Age and Familial Status
  • OBO Owners shall not:
    • Impose any different terms or conditions or decline a reservation based on the guest's age or familial status, where prohibited by law.
  • OBO Owners may:
    • Provide factually accurate information about their listing's features (or lack of them) that could make the listing unsafe or unsuitable for Renters of a certain age or families with children or infants.
    • Note in their Listings applicable community restrictions (e.g., aged housing), regulations, or laws that prohibit guests under a particular age or families with children or infants.
  • Disability
  • OBO Owners shall not:
    • Decline a Booking based on any actual or perceived disability or impose any different terms or conditions based on the fact that the guest has a disability.
    • Inquire about the existence or severity of a guest's disability, or the means used to accommodate any disability.
    • Prohibit or limit the use of accessibility and mobility devices or instruments.
    • Increase fees for Renters with disabilities, including increased fees for service animals.
    • Discourage or indicate a preference for or against anyRenter on account of the fact that the Renterhas a disability.
    • Refuse to communicate with Renters through accessible means that are available.
    • Refuse to provide reasonable accommodations when requested, including minor changes to individual Listing Rules, when reasonable and practicable under the circumstances of such request.
  • OBO Owners may:
    • Provide factually accurate information about the unit's accessibility features (or lack of them), allowing for guests with disabilities to assess for themselves whether the unit is appropriate to their individual needs.
  • Personal Preferences
  • OBO Owners may:
    • Except as noted above, Owners may decline a booking based on factors that are not prohibited by law.
