The Capt Gabby is a 42-foot wooden trawler hand-built in St. Augustine, FL in 1977. Over the years, she made her way up the coast and landed in Valona, Georgia. She has had many adventures and is eager for many more. The Capt Gabby has a whole new outlook on life after being lovingly converted into a mothership that can sleep 6 guests and up to 3 crew members.
The Capt Gabby is a floating base camp, where the captain and crew are well-equipped to explore in just about any way. The boat features 3 staterooms with comfortable bunks that sleep 2 adults per room, and has a single bathroom that is accessible from the deck. The back half of the boat has a large galley and dining area, where meals, coffee and conversations are shared. There is also a swim platform that provides access to the water, or a convenient place to launch boats or kayaks.
The crowning jewel of the Gabby is the second story deck that features seating for six and provides panoramic views of the Georgia coast.
Outdoor Pursuits:
Captain Gabby is a true mothership. It can take your crew to remote barrier islands to explore the maritime forests, ferry you to pristine birding habitats, or be a launching point for your next fishing or hunting adventure.
For those wishing to bring their own boats along, you can tie up to the Gabby overnight and head off for days of inshore fishing, waterfowl hunting, or cruising the coastal marshes. If you’d like a little slower pace, the Gabby is the perfect spot to explore the coastal scenery and wildlife from kayaks, or just take it all in from the top deck.
