Moonshiner's Cabin is centrally located in Suches, at the corner of Hwy 180 and Glenn Elliot, amidst the Chattahoochee National Forest. It's less than 2 miles from the Appalachian Trail and near cycling routes, making it ideal for hikers, cyclists, and families. The cabin accommodates 6 guests with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a full kitchen. Enjoy screened front and spacious rear porches with abundant seating, a grill, and picturesque views of the valley. An in-ground fire pit is steps away. Ample parking for vehicles and trailers is available. The cabin includes a television and wireless internet.
The cabin is not far from Lake Winfield Scott and is just a short drive from Vogel State Park, the Appalachian Trail, Coopers Creek and the Toccoa River. The remainder of the area surrounding the house is mostly Chattahoochee National Forest land, which is ripe for exploring.
For avid anglers, the property near a number of streams that run through public lands. We also suggest Black Mountain Trout Ponds, Coopers Creek, Frogtown Creek, the Toccoa River, the Chestatee River. There are numerous other great trout fisheries in the area as well and some of these waters hold other species like largemouth bass and panfish, with those and other species also being plentiful in places Lake Winfield Scott and Vogel State Park.
The cabin is also near several Georgia Wildlife Management Areas that provide hunting and other outdoors opportunities, in addition to the National Forest. Be sure to check out Chestatee WMA and Coopers Creek WMA while you are here!
