LODGING
Tall Pines Cabin is the quintessential mountain house, featuring woodland views, expansive porches, and a beautiful living area with exposed beams and vaulted roof. The living area features plush leather seating, a large television, and wood burning stove.
The house also has a fully stocked kitchen with breakfast table, and has two well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms for guests to use.
AMAZING AMENITIES
With a large rear porch that wraps around, you'll have plenty of opportunity to be outside at Tall Pines. The porch also features a nice propane grill for cooking and a large hot tub to enjoy on cool nights. The porch has a beautiful view of the National Forest.
Just below the porch is a stone fire pit with Adirondack chairs for all the guests. It is located in the beautiful and secluded yard.
OUTDOORS ACCESS
Tall Pines' back yard spills directly into the Chattahoochee National Forest and Coopers Creek WMA, where you can spend days exploring, birdwatching or hunting. The house is extremely close to Coopers Creek and the Deep Hole Recreation Area on the Toccoa River. Both of these accesses provide ample fishing, hiking, and biking opportunities. Tall pines is also near many of the National Forests unimproved roads, which are perfect for a scenic drive, mountain biking, or just exploring.
The Cabin is relatively equidistant from Chestatee and Blueridge WMAs, in addition to being near the Cooper Creek WMA and being surrounded by Chattahoochee National Forest lands. Each of these areas provide myriad outdoors opportunities. This area is perfect for mountain biking, fishing the small tributaries of the Toccoa River, and exploring around the Forest. The cabin is not far from Lake Winfield Scott, and is also just down the road from Vogel State Park and the Appalachian Trail.
The WMAs in the area offer hunting, fishing, and general outdoor opportunities.
For avid anglers, the property is close to a number of streams that run through public lands. We suggest Black Mountain Trout Ponds, Coopers Creek, the Toccoa River, Frogtown Creek, and the Chestatee River. There are numerous other great trout fisheries in the area as well and some of these waters hold other species like largemouth bass and panfish, with those and other species also being plentiful in Lake Winfield Scott and Vogel State Park.
If you'd like to spend some time outdoors in a little more of an adult atmosphere, there are also several wineries around. We recommend:
* Wolf Mountain
* Serenberry Vineyards
* Crane Creek Vineyards
