This 2 bedroom & 1 bath cottage on the Medway River offers the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring the expansive Georgia Coast. A large screened in porch provides year round access to expansive views from comfortable seating (including a hammock). The screen porch is flanked by a deck that is equipped with a gas grill for cooking steaks or your fresh catch! The home also has a large yard with plenty of room for parking and playing. The highlight of this listing is the dock, which provides plenty of deep water dockage for most boats. The dock also has a fish cleaning station and bench seating, so you can enjoy you evenings on the water or gear up for a day of exploring in comfort. There is a Sunbury public boat ramp just to the south of the house, where you can launch your boat and get gas and other necessities at the Sunbury Crab Co. marina. The marina also offers additional dockage (for a fee) if you need more space. Be sure to check out the Crab Co. restaurant too-its a local favorite and just steps from the house. For anglers, this is your perfect fishing cabin, being near some of the most pristine waters and marshes on the Georgia Coast. With low pressure, catches of redfish, sea trout, flounder, drum and sheepshead are common and can be targeted year round.  In the warmer months, tarpon and tripletail also frequent the area. Offshore fishing is also exceptional and just a short run to St. Catherine's Sound. Nearshore catches include Spanish and King Mackerel, Black Seabass, and Red Drum. A little further off and species like Snapper, Grouper and Triggerfish can be targeted. We can also arrange for a charter boat for a day of offshore fishing and a leisure trip exploring the undisturbed beaches and wildlife of the islands. These same pristine waters also provide excellent wildlife viewing and the cottage is just a short boat ride from some of the best secluded beaches on the coast. These include Sapelo Island, Cabretta Island & Blackbeard Island. For hunting enthusiasts, the home is near Dorchester Shooting Preserve, where you can seasonally arrange quail and other hunts, or enjoy shooting sporting clays year-round. Drive, walk or take the boat to the nearby Sunbury Crab Company Restaurant for fresh local seafood and incredible views of the river from this open air restaurant.
