Fishing The South Toe River is a prime fishing spot, originating from Mount Mitchell and Pisgah National Forest. While upper sections have Wild Regulations, offering a challenge to anglers, the stretch above Black Mountain Campground to Pisgah Game Land Border is perfect for catch-and-release enthusiasts.
